The Mexican government has decided to reintroduce the logo or seal “Hecho en México” (Made in Mexico) in response to statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the imposition of new tariffs and the uncertainty this has caused. The initiative was presented on Tuesday, February 18, by the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard.
This is a mark that companies can use as part of their origin identity, valid for five years, as stated by Ebrard through the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF). It will be granted by the Unit of Regulation, Competitiveness, and Competition of the aforementioned ministry.
The mark “Hecho en México” is part of a strategy aimed at boosting national production and achieving equitable and sustainable economic development for the country.
